Course information

Lithuanian language courses B1 (60 hours) - cA good level of Lithuanian language proficiency, which allows to meet the basic communicative needs in everyday, educational and professional spheres of communication.

Achieving this level of proficiency in Lithuanian enables you to meet your basic communicative needs in real-life situations with native speakers. The course programme is based on the latest teaching methods that will help you to better understand the structure of the language and use it in communication. During the course you will gain basic knowledge that will help you in your job and career prospects.

Knowledge and skills acquired

  1. READING: Be able to read short texts from newspapers, magazines and books and understand the general content of what is read, as well as details, conclusions and evaluations of the author.
  2. WRITING: Be able to write a text within the context of the situational and thematic minimum, and be able to convey in writing the main content of a text of an informative, journalistic, socio-cultural or socially and socially relevant nature that has been read or listened to.
  3. AUDIENCE: Understand written and spoken dialogues, be able to extract factual information (topic, time, characteristics of objects, purposes, reasons) and express one's own attitude to the statements and actions of speakers, understand audio-recorded announcements, news, socio-cultural information.
  4. SPEAKING: Be able to participate in dialogues in a wide range of everyday situations, to start, maintain and end a dialogue, to hold a conversation on a variety of topics (e.g. about oneself, one's job, profession, interests, country, city, cultural issues), to formulate one's own statement on the basis of a socio-cultural text read.
  5. LEXICO-GRAMMATICAL SKILLS: Use grammatical and lexical skills to frame utterances according to the intentions of communicative situations within the context of the Situational-Thematic Minimum.
  6. CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT: Learn about Lithuanian traditions and cultural features.
